|Type : Anglo|
Make : Lachenal
Model : 32 key in G/D
Price : £1700
A very tidy Lachenal G/D anglo No 187944 which would be around the time of the First World War.
It was made in Ab/Eb for the Salvation Army whose initials are built into the frework -and like almost all of these concertinas was tuned down for use as a Morris instrument or for English sessions.
It has metal ends, bone buttons, steel reeds and a brand new set of quality 6 fold bellows.
It has been fully restored with new pads, valves, straps, bushings, bellows and tuned to concert pitch.
Comes in a new quality padded gig bag.
It plays well and sounds good. Of course no G/D is ever quite as quick or as fast as a C/G as the reeds are longer and thicker to achieve the lower notes-but this is a very decent example at the price.
One of quite a few G/D's in stock as I write.
