This is an early period Aeola Number 23669.
It is a 64 key tenor-treble with metal ends, metal buttons, steel reeds and a brand new set of 6 fold bellows-they usually have 5 fold at this period.
It has been completely restored by David Robertson who put on new valves, straps, pads, bushings, made the bellows and tuned it to concert pitch so it plays really well.
There is a little wear and mild pitting on the metal which is to be expected with an instrument this old which has been used- but it is in fantastic playing condition-and still has its original hide leather case-although that could do with a re-finish such as the concertina has had.
To my mind there is nothing better than a good Wheatstone Aeola in the English concertina world-and this is a lovely playing example.
