Type : English Make : Wheatstone Model : 56 Key Baritone-Treble Price : £3500
Concertina Description One of those concertinas that comes up once in a few years-a baritone-treble Aeola. Basically it is a tenor-treble Aeola with 6 notes going below the tenor-treble into the baritone range. It goes down on the left hand side to the G an octave below the lowest G on the right side of a treble. It is number 29395 -1922. The odd thing about it is that it has a factory made set of flat ends -not raised as you would expect. It was either a special model or it has had the ends replaced at a later date-but they are beautifully made. I just took it back in a part exchange deal so it is playing really well and has a rich vibrant sound and a range that allows you to play tunes and beautiful low chords -possibly to accompany singing. Comes in what looks like a Crabb hard case. Obviously it has steel reeds and is in concert pitch with relatively new pads, valves, straps etc. One of a huge range of English concertinas-ask if you can't see what you want on the site. |
