A very decent Lachenal tutor model No 38952-from the 1890's.
It has mahogany ends stained to be a rosewood colour, bone buttons, brass reeds and 4 fold bellows. It comes in its original wooden case which is in lovely condition and makes it a better package.
The concertina itself has been restored with new pads, straps, valves and tuned to concert pitch.
The bellows have been rebound and fitted with new papers.
It plays really well for a budget model and is a far better bet for a learners instrument than a £400 Chinese model which is worth half of what it costs the minute you buy it and doesn't look or sound right.
As people know-I always take this sort of instrument back at what is paid for it in an upgrade situation-in the U.K -because all of the tutor models are only meant to start people off and to be upgraded when you are sure that you are committed to the instrument.
One of loads of English concertinas in stock-most of which are not on the website so-Give us a call!
