This concertina has been soldType : Duet
Make : Wheatstone
Model : 55 Key Crane
Price : £1600.00
A Wheatstone crane Duet No 33532 -c 1930.
It has rosewood ends, metal buttons, steel reeds and 6 fold bellows.
It has been restored with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.
It has spent most-if not all-of its life in the Salvation Army or religious work.
It is in lovely condition considering its years of work and obviously wasn't played outside as so many Army instruments were.
It is one of only two Cranes in stock at present-the other being a 48 key Wheatstone-and that shows how hard they are to come by. I suspect that there were probably only about 1000 Cranes ever made.
Comes in a relatively modern hard case.
