Make : Wheatstone
Model : 48 Key Treble

This is a very early Wheatstone -number 7560. It has rosewood ends with the decorative inserts that were common on the best concertinas of that period. It has metal buttons and has later been fitted with a set of steel reeds and a new set of 5 fold bellows. These jobs were most likely done in the factory many years ago. It is in solid playing condition but is a little rougher in appearance than I usually like which is why I am selling it at about £300 less than a more perfect version.
It has been fitted with new pads, valves and straps and tuned to concert pitch.
A couple of buttons have been replaced with ones that really do not match-the wood has wear and scratches and the bellows-while airtight -are not to the original design and are a little scuffed.
Not a stunning looking concertina but well worth the money.
