This concertina has been soldType : Anglo
Make : Lachenal
Model : 28 Key in C/G
Price : £725
Just in as part of an exchange deal. This is a Lachenal 28 key no 53811 -which would be around the early 1880's.
It has mahogany ends, bone buttons, brass reeds and 5 fold bellows.
It was fitted recently with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.
It does have a couple of cosmetic cracks on the ends but they seem stable and should cause no issues.
It is a decent little cheap concertina and would suit someone wishing to learn the anglo without spending a massive amount-and as it is a 28 key it has almost all the notes that you would ever need to play Irish music as well as playing English style.
It is a cheap, useful anglo -which is very hard to get-and unlike the plastic Chinese copies it can come back at its purchase price in an upgrade situation -which you can never say about the copies.
Just one of a huge range of anglos-including many top Jeffries and Wheatstones which are not on the site-so if you are looking for a top instrument we have many-so get in touch and find out if we have what you want.
