|Type : Anglo|
Make : Lachenal
Model : 28 Key in C/G
Price : £600
This is a slightly messy instrument which I purchased on Ebay.
Someone had obviously tried to restore it but it was probably a first attempt and a lot of it was not done with knowledge or the experience to get it playing.
It has mahogany ends which are poorly refinished, a set of bellows off a later period anglo which are in good condition but a little stiff, bone buttons and brass reeds.
It now has a new set of pads and I replaced about half of the valves then tuned it to concert pitch.
I can't say that it is a great player but it does play very well for an instrument of this price with 28 keys which would usually be about £900-£1000.
I am actually charging only £50 more for it than I would for a decent 20 key.
It has to be a bargain at the price but don't look for cosmetics or originality.
