This one came in as a part exchange a couple of months ago.
It is a Crabb No 10797.
I am not an expert on Crabb numbers but I would have thought that a number like that would date from the early part of the 20th century.
It has aluminium ends , metal buttons, steel reeds and 6 fold bellows.
It has been fitted with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.
It is quite a budget instrument by Crabb standards but is of a period where they do play well-and this one does. Better than almost all cheaper Lachenals and a very good basic workhorse type of instrument that would be great for morris playing.
