|Type : Anglo|
Make : George Jones
Model : 26 Key in G/D
Price : £850
A very pleasant Jones 26 key which is in the rare and desired keys of G and D.
Jones was a maker of cheaper concertinas in the second half of the 19th century.
This instrument has mahogany ends-and if you look closely on the right had one-you will see the letters "S A" built into the fretwork. This siginifies the Salvation Army so it almost certainly was originally in Ab/Eb which were keys they used a lot.
It has bone buttons, steel reeds and 5 fold bellows.
It has been restored with new pads, valves, straps, has had a bellows rebind, new papers fitted and is tuned to concert pitch.
Plays very well for a budget anglo at this price.
