|Type : Anglo|
Make : Lachenal
Model : 30 key in C/G
Price : £2250
This is one of those very rare Lachenal anglos of higher grade. It has ebonised ends, metal buttons, steel reeds and 6 fold bellows.
The ends are new as the original ones were damaged-they were made and fitted by Bill Crossland who also changed the buttons from the original bone to bushed metal ones.
This higher grade model is rare and often has side cut rails-which this one does and it certainly adds to its looks. One on of those rails is impressed "J Hoyland 2353 Sheffield" who obviously was the retailer. The number quoted is a Hoyland number -not the Lachenal number.
It has been fitted with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.
The bellows are original and decent.
The extra two buttons are in this case a working bird whistle and cock crow-obviously for Music hall use.
A decent playing and rare instrument which plays well.
Just one ofa huge rannge of anglo concertinas in stock at present.
