A really nice early Wheatstone baritone No 3161-which appears to be 1857 and sold to someone called Sowerey-if I read it correctly in the archives.
It has bushed bone buttons, brass reeds and a brand new set of top quality leather 6 fold bellows. It has also been re-bushed and fitted with new pads, valves , straps and tuned to concert pitch.
It looks to be in great condition and plays way better than I expected-quite fast and with a lovely tone.
Baritones are extremely sought after and tend to sell very quickly. Even buying the number of concertinas that we do it is not often that we have one in stock. I actually have three at present- a Wheatstone Aeola -which is as good as you get with baritones -and a very unusual Roylance baritone which is in the pile that need to be restored.
