Make : Wheatstone
Model : 48 Key Treble

A very early Wheatstone raised metal-ended 48 key No 22945-which would be in the 1890's. I think it is the earliest version of this model that i have ever seen.
I took it back as a part ex in an upgrade having originally sold it some years ago.
It has the raised metal ends, metal buttons, steel reeds and a recent set of 6 fold bellows which i had fitted when i first sold it. The person who bought it then put a set of bellows papers on it-which I would not have done-but they are a Wheatstone design of the right period and some people will like them.
It has recent pads, valves, straps and is of course in concert pitch-which all our concertinas are.
The original labels are quite worn and stained and the metalwork is a little worn but it certainly is a player!
To my mind it is probably the brightest concertina of its kind in my stock-great for outdoor playing-Morris -and band work. Fast and bright but with the fullness of a Wheatstone tone.
Not a great looker but a very good player. Comes in a new hard case.
