An almost identical instrument to the one previously listed.
It is No 10406 and I have looked it up in the archives and it was sold to a Mr Darby in Dec 1868 for four guineas.
It has decorated rosewood ends, metal buttons, brass reeds and again-a lovely set of green Victorian decorated bellows.
It has been fitted with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to concert pitch.
This one has a leather baffle behind the fret -and just like the other one it has a lovely tone-maybe a little less mellow than the other one-but still mellow-and it plays really well.
A beautiful instrument and in great condition for its age.
Someone will love the tone of these two instruments.
As I always say-most of my concertinas are not on this display so ASK if you want something that you don't see!
