A very pretty George Case from the Victorian period.
It has rosewood or ebony ends with the unusual Case inserts. metal buttons, brass reeds and 5 fold bellows
It has been fitted with new pads, valves .straps and tuned to concert pitch.
The ends have a network of fine surface cracks which is very common on this type of concertina -but it looks to be pretty secure.
Like almost all Case instruments it has a double walled reedpan. It looks very nice and plays well -with that lovely brass reeded tone which is relatively quiet-but the reeds are responsive.
One of about 80 English concertinas in stock-almost all of which are not on the website-so ask if you are looking for a particular instrument.
