Model : Baritone
Price : £1500
A mid Victorian English baritone which is labelled "John Alvey Turner, Manufacturer ,19 Poultry"
It is also stamped into the wood " London, Lewis and Co, 86 Cheapside".
I am not certain who made it. It could be a Chidley, a Case or a Jones.
It has rosewood ends, bushed bone buttons, brass reeds and 6 fold bellows.
It has recently been restored with new pads, valves, straps, new bellows and tuned to concert pitch.
These brass-reeded Victorian baritones are not exceptionally fast but have a beautiful tone and are great for playing chords behind a singer. This one plays well for one of its type and is in very decent condition for its age,
One of about eighty English concertinas in stock. If this isn't what you are looking for -just ask-we may well have it.
