|Type : English|
Make : Lachenal
Model : New Model
Price : £1550
A Lachenal 48 key treble English concertina.
It is called a "New Model" as it was the first type of concertina to have raised ends and the name continued through its history although this one is numbered 52076 -which would be around 1905-many years after the name was introduced.
It has raised ebonised ends, metal buttons, steel reeds and 5 fold bellows + a new quality gig bag.
It has been restored with new pads, straps ,valves, bushings and an end re-finish. It is also fitted with wrist straps and has bowing valves,(air release levers which have some strange use that I have never really understood-look it up)!
It plays well with a great tone.
