Model : 30 Key in C/G
Price : £3250
A Jeffries style 30 key by some unknown maker of a similar period to the C. Jeffries instruments.
This is one of those models with Jeffries style metal ends and identical bellows.
I do not think it is a Crabb-which is also very similar to Jeffries-early Jeffries actually being made by John Crabb.
Although there are a few of these early Jeffries copies this one is very well made with good quality metal ends which a lot of the Victorian copies don't have. Often they have very thin metal which is easily bent-this one has quality ends.
It has bone buttons, metal ends, steel reeds and 6 fold bellows.
It has been restored with new pads, valves, straps and tuned to C/G concert pitch. It comes in its original shaped wooden case.
A nice player and a very pretty little concertina.
